      Give a brief outline of your promising practice:

      Through our laboratory,we create locally generated Videos and Animations to teach refugees on the best practices required for a healthy and sustainable living in and out of the refugee camps. The content is shared in a public cinema show places where Refugees camp and watch the translated and step by step practices required for  better living. We tailor content around pertinent issues such health,adolescence, violence against children, women and refugees, refugee rights, small business enterprises,education, and agribusiness among others. 

      The main lessons learned during the process of implementing or testing my practice:

      I learned that there is more to communication involving refugees that I actually imagined, in addition to the  best communication methods currently in place, there is need to explore other communication mechanisms that are more appealing to the youth population that is always the majority in most refugee Camps. Our case study that involved a few refugees from Adjumani created a new opportunity to develop the Literacy skills of the refugees through visual communication materials inspired and co-created by their very own people. It was a great experience to feel the concept of nothing for us by us. The refugees themselves must be put at the center of  every program design.

      What is the significance of your experience/practice:

      The greatest significance of our experience is that it will help us to pivot and deliver better materials developed and documented with the refugees themselves in mind. We now have a clear picture of what we want to achieve through enrolling our programs in the selected refugee camps.
